Healthcare records should follow people — not paperwork.

A digital health record management system for migrant workers in Kerala: one portable Health ID, one secure record, four role-specific portals.

Problem

Records get lost every time a worker moves

Migrant workers carry paper files across states, sites and hospitals. Allergies, vaccinations and fitness certificates go missing; care restarts from zero and employers can't verify fitness without seeing private medical details.

Solution

A portable, consented, auditable health identity

Each worker gets a permanent Health ID and QR. Authorised clinicians open records after stating a purpose; every access is logged and visible to the worker. Employers see only verification status.

Four-portal ecosystem, one secure platform

Worker

Mobile Health ID, records, appointments, certificates and consent control.

Hospital

QR scan, purpose-logged access, visits, prescriptions, labs and certificates.

Employer

Fitness & certificate verification only — never diagnoses or clinical notes.

Government

Aggregated, de-identified surveillance, coverage and district analytics.

Digital Health ID

Unique IDs like JDH-KL-2026-000001 with QR tokens that never embed medical data.

Security

Row-level security in the database, private file storage with signed links, purpose-bound access grants and a full audit trail.

Impact

Continuity of care, faster emergency decisions, compliant employment checks and district-level public-health intelligence.

Not everyone sees everything.

Worker: own data · Doctor: authorised clinical data · Employer: verification only · Government: aggregates.
